Bill Reece

Florida State Certified General Contractor

Bill Reece, owner and operating manager of Maybell General Contracting, started out in the construction industry at the age of 17. He was a concrete worker for 5 years, building foundations and high-rise reinforced concrete buildings in New York City. After 5 years Bill became an ironworker. He would spend the next 19 years of his life leaving his mark on New York City’s Skyline. Bill moved up through the ranks fast, becoming a Foreman, then a General Foreman, and ultimately an owner of Edgehill Construction and Edgehill Steel. Edgehill Construction focused on General Contracting while Edgehill Steel became a well respected ironwork fabrication and installation company. Bill sold his stake in Edgehill and headed for the sunny shores of Florida with his wife and two young daughters in 2018. Spending the last 24 years of his life in construction, Bill has worked on a wide array of jobs including foundations, high-rise concrete buildings, structural steel buildings, bridges, tunnels, water treatment plants, and stadiums. Maybell General Contracting focuses on both Residential and Commercial construction in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee, and Sarasota Counties.
